| The 42nd parallel passes right through the island of Tasmania and recently an artist put up a huge sculpture celebrating the fact. Unfortunately for me the scaffolding that holds the piece high above the ground is off putting. What do you think? Anyone got any skyhooks? Where I live is at the top, just right of the middle solid bit, you can see a wide river, that's the beautiful Tamar. My weekend home is situated at the right hand bottom side of the island just where the scaffold comes down. Both places are magnificent. |
You should have a word with the artist, maybe he could change it into a hanging sculpture, a bit like a huge pub sign?
ReplyDeleteThis is about 6.5 metres high and the same across so a bit big to be hung as you suggest John. By the way, the artist was a woman.
Deleteit's in a field mounted 2.5 metres off the ground so the sheep can still graze under it.
DeleteThis looks absolutely great! Although I agree with you that the scaffolding does detract somewhat unfortunately.
