They're Back!

There is a colony of 6 of these cheeky little parrots and they come each day and sit in my trees or dig around in the garden looking for grubs and worms. The other day I saw 2 of them having a mid air skuffle over a tasty morsel. I just love them. When my almond trees are producing nuts they willbe joined by the sulphur crested cockatoos to feast upon them.  It's a deal I have with them, nut for you and apricots, cherries, nectarines and greengages for me. Usually they abide by the rules.

The 42nd Parallel

The 42nd parallel passes right through the island of Tasmania and recently an artist put up a huge sculpture celebrating the fact. Unfortunately for me the scaffolding that holds the piece high above the ground is off putting. What do you think? Anyone got any skyhooks?  Where I live is at the top, just right of the middle solid bit, you can see a wide river, that's the beautiful Tamar. My weekend home is situated at the right hand bottom side of the island just where the scaffold comes down. Both places are magnificent.

Sticking with Shapes again

I went exploring in Hobart and wandered into an interesting building. It was the Bahai centre and checked out these all around the interior walls.
