| There is a colony of 6 of these cheeky little parrots and they come each day and sit in my trees or dig around in the garden looking for grubs and worms. The other day I saw 2 of them having a mid air skuffle over a tasty morsel. I just love them. When my almond trees are producing nuts they willbe joined by the sulphur crested cockatoos to feast upon them. It's a deal I have with them, nut for you and apricots, cherries, nectarines and greengages for me. Usually they abide by the rules. |

| The 42nd parallel passes right through the island of Tasmania and recently an artist put up a huge sculpture celebrating the fact. Unfortunately for me the scaffolding that holds the piece high above the ground is off putting. What do you think? Anyone got any skyhooks? Where I live is at the top, just right of the middle solid bit, you can see a wide river, that's the beautiful Tamar. My weekend home is situated at the right hand bottom side of the island just where the scaffold comes down. Both places are magnificent. |
