Living on the river, I get to see it throughout all her different moods. This day she was peeping through the mist. The jetty in the distance is at the pub featured yesterday. Quite a few people sail to the pub especially on weekends.

The Local Pub

Yesterday I showed you Bert on the way to the pub in his yacht. Well, here is the pub. It's a great little tavern which has quite a bit of history behind it. Not a bad spot for a meal, overlooking the river, lots of tourists come here on the weekend.

Smile

As much as this has been difficult for me to do today due to not being able to walk independently through the pain of arthritis, I always try to be optimisitic.

Greetings From Tasmania

In the last week in Sheffield in Tasmania, they have been holding a Mural Fest, where artists come from all over to compete for the title of the best mural in town.  This is a small part of the winning mural. Its like a post card.

Iconic Luna Park

Luna Park in Melbourne brings back memories from when I was a teenager and lived there after leaving Tasmania with all my worldly possessions in a cardboard box and $60 to my name. It was 1970 and I was 16 and jobs were easy to come by. I picked one up the day after I arrived working in a shoe shop. Many weekends were spent here with my friends.

Luna Park - Sydney. I have cruised passed here many times but never gone in. Maybe I should schedule a visit before I fall off my perch.

Welcome to those visiting from Rhonda's Down to Earth blog

Autumn Afternoon

As a teacher who has been on Easter break, today my head started thinking about school again and that we are going to explore Autumn. I decided to collect a few leaves for a display and just threw them down on my coffee table then as the sun shone on them I could see the shadows forming and playing with my eyes. That's when I had to get my camera out.
